Closure of roads/streets to all traffic - 22 May to 2 June 2017

Pursuant to section 342(1)(b) of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is hereby given that the Wairoa District Council, for the purpose of Rocket Lab Ltd implementing operational safety requirements, will close the following roads to all traffic (including pedestrian traffic) for the periods indicated hereunder.

Road(s)/street(s) to be closed to all traffic (including pedestrian traffic):

  • Māhia East Coast Road (from Wainuiorangi Road to Tawapata Road (Unformed Road))
  • Tawapata Road (Unformed Road)
  • Un-named and unformed road on Portland Island
  • Un-named and unformed road which extends from the end of the unformed Tawapata Road.

For a series of periods of not more than 12 hours, each in any consecutive 24 hours for a series of not more than 14 consecutive days within the period commencing 22 May until 2 June 2017.
