Vape shop owner's crusade to stub out the ciggies

A new flavour is lighting up Wairoa, and the masterminds behind it are hoping everyone will join in on the action too.

Wairoa vape shop owner Josh Brady, his wife Marise, and another business partner are fresh on the block with their new vape shop/e-cigarette business, Coastline Vapes; and business is steaming along quite nicely.

The vape shop, at 50 Marine Parade (diagonally opposite the Wairoa Community Centre), has been open for about three weeks now.

It’s fair to say the shop opened without any real planning, but Josh said he was partly committed to getting Wairoa smokers off the tobacco and onto the E-juice.

On top of that, Josh likes to vape.
Before Josh, Marise and their business partner opened the store, Josh was selling e-cigarette products from home, for about three months.

“A couple of mates then started saying to me, bro, open a shop... and now, here we are,” Josh said.

After some discussions between them, they decided to enter into the business as partners.
“I want to give a huge shout out to all our friends and family who helped us set up, we were very lucky to have their support.”

Josh, a former cigarette smoker, is encouraging die-hard smokers to give vaping and e-cigarettes a go.

“It’s a healthier alternative, man, and it saves you a lot on the pocket,” he said.
