Junior Bookworms - For the final session of the year come along and learn how to make a zine.

16 December - 5+
Dance music + sheets of canvas + paint on your feet - Celebrating reopening Havelock North Library! (Old clothes are a must please).

19 December 3:30-5pm - All ages.
#cardboardchallenge: Help us deal to the leftover book boxes and create something out of them!

20 December 10:30-11:15am - Preschool Story time
Our final story time of the year will be filled with Christmas stories, songs and craft.

21 December 10:30am-12pm 5+
Chalk Art with Michele - Create a masterpiece with simple sidewalk chalk.

28 December 10:30am-12pm 5+
Exploring Myths and Legends - Haere mai ki te Whare Pukapuka hou o Havelock North! Hana will be sharing her favourite Maori myths and legends, writers and illustrators.

4 January 1pm -3pm
Cloud gazing and comic book making - Bring your dreams to life, and put thoughts and visuals to paper.

15 January 10:30-11:30am 5+
Family Detectives - Bring along a family member and get busy creating your family time capsule.

18 January 1-3pm 5+
Becoming bookish with Keirunga - Make a booklet using needle and thread with Margot.

Hastings - No book clubs, Minecraft or Coders during the school holidays, sorry!

8th December:
International time travellers day - We’ll screen a time traveller themed movie.

14th December 3:30-4:30pm 8+
Make, Create, Do - For the final session of the year come along and work on Christmas crafts.

20th December 10:30-11:15am
Preschool Story time - Our final story time of the year will be filled with Christmas stories, songs and craft.

22nd December
Movie Madness: Christmas Classics - Our favourite Christmas classics will be playing at 10:00am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm.

29th December
Exploring Myths and Legends - Whaea Moana will be sharing her favourite myths and legends.

January 1:30-2:30pm
Slime City - Are you obsessed with making slime? Come and try out different recipes and see which is your favourite. Be prepared to get messy.

8th January 10:30-11:30am
Family Detectives - Bring along a family member and get busy creating your family time capsule.

10th January 1:00-3:00pm
Will it art? Can you turn everyday objects into works of art? Show us how creative you can be.

18th January 10:30-11:30am
Create your own Superhero - Will they fly, time travel, have x-ray vision or superhuman strength? Only you know so come along and bring your superhero dreams to life.

Join us for the last Pre School Story time of 2017. There will be Christmas stories, songs and a fun craft.

21st December 10:30am – 12:00pm
Maker space – Christmas Cards!
Come along and make some Christmas cards to give to your loved ones. Everything will be provided, just show up ready to create. All ages welcome.

28th January 10:30am – 12:00pm
Maker Space – Robot Craft Lab - Design and build it out of cardboard and craft bits. All ages welcome.

4th January 10:30am -12:00pm
Maker Space – Dare to Dream - Design and make your own Dream Catcher to take home and hang above your bed.
Best suited for Ages 7+

9th January 10:30am – 12:00pm
Makerspace Challenge: Wool!
Come along and feel inspired to create something amazing using wool and other craft items. The only limit is your imagination. All ages welcome.

11th January 10:30 – 11:30am
Come join Whaea Moana for kemu and waiata! All ages welcome

15th January 10:30am – 12:00pm
Magical Maker Space – Harry Potter Wands!
Come along and create your own Harry Potter Wand in preparation for Harry Potter Book Night on February 1st. Suited for Ages 10+

We may take photos/video recordings during events and which may be used in Council promotional material.
