As we approach the most wonderful time of the year, the Wairoa District Council is excited to spread some festive cheer with our Kiwiana Christmas celebration.

Join us as we embrace the true spirit of a Kiwi Christmas, blending our unique local charm with the magic of the season. We're inviting everyone to come together on Saturday, 14 December from 9am for a Christmas market that celebrates our local culture, our annual Christmas parade and a special visit from Santa himself. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Let’s make this Christmas a memorable one, filled with joy, laughter, and a touch of Kiwi magic. From all of us at the Wairoa District Council, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Wairoa Christmas Market

The Wairoa Christmas Market will kick off from 9am Saturday, 14 December. Showcasing local wares and foodstalls there is something for everyone.

The Wairoa Christmas Parade will commence at 12pm from Wairoa Ski Club.
