Terms and Conditions
1. Competition Overview:
The Wairoa District Council invites local businesses and organisations to participate in the Christmas Window Display Competition. The competition aims to enhance the festive spirit in our community, this year's theme is Kiwiana.
2. Competition Timeline:
Entry Open Date: 8:30 AM, 11th November 2024
Entry Close Date: 4:30 PM, 11th December 2024
3. Eligibility:
The competition is open to all businesses and organisations located within the Wairoa District.
Participants must have a visible window display in their business premises.
4. How to Enter:
Participants must complete an online entry form available on the Wairoa District Council website and Facebook page.
Entries must be submitted by the closing date.
5. Display Requirements:
Displays must be festive and suitable for public viewing.
The display should be installed by 11th December 2024 and remain up until 13th December 2024.
6. Judging Criteria:
Displays will be judged based on creativity, use of materials, and overall festive spirit.
Judging will take place between 12th December 2024.
7. Prizes:
Winners will be announced on 13th December 2024.
A prize will be awarded for first place.
8. Responsibilities:
Participants are responsible for the setup, maintenance, and removal of their displays.
Wairoa District Council is not liable for any damage to displays or property.
9. Agreement to Terms:
By entering the competition, participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
