Flooded Homes

Check on your neighbours
Rapid Building Assessments were completed today. We have had over 400 properties that were affected by flooding and 119 yellow placards have been issued. This does not include garages and outbuildings.

A Yellow Placard means limited occupancy and it is recommended that you do not sleep in the affected home. The priority for flood-damaged homes is that the homes are electrically safe, wastewater systems are working, it has been cleaned and disinfected. If wall linings have been removed ensure temporary bracing has been installed.

Please note, in this flood event, the primary dwelling on the property that had floodwater enter the building was assessed. Garages and outbuildings were not given a placard, even if they were affected during this flood event.
