There was an energetic buzz at last week’s Age Concern Aging and Disability Expo.
Held at the War Memorial Hall, more than 30 different organisations and support groups set up stalls to share their information with Wairoa locals.
Hundreds of people attended the event, which offeredknowledge,support and assistance from key providers.
Wairoa Age Concern Manager Jan Little said the expo was a way to bring together information and services. “It was great to see people chatting and mixing, sharing stories and gaining knowledge into what is available for Wairoa’s elderly, disabled, and their caregivers. Thank you to all those who took part and shared their information and also to those people who took time out to call in and enjoy the expo. We have received great feedback and look forward to hosting more information-sharing events.”
