Familiar local face a welcome addition to Wairoa i-SITE

Jerzelle Wai Wai lr

Promoting the Wairoa district is second nature to new Council Information Officer Jerzelle Wai Wai.

Jerzelle has strong local connections, particularly to Lake Waikaremoana. She was schooled locally before completing a Bachelor of Communications at Waikato University and then launching a hairdressing career.

Jerzelle returned home to Wairoa in 2021 and has been the assistant manager at Z before starting the Wairoa i-Site based position.

“It’s great to be able to promote Wairoa. There is always a lot of interest in the Lake Waikaremoana area and through my whānau connections I know this area well. Selling Wairoa is easy, it is a beautiful spot and it’s a privilege to promote the district to tourists and visitors.”

Jerzelle will also assist at the Gaiety Theatre.
