Regional leaders gathered in Wairoa recently for a day of collaboration.
Around 50 visitors from the Napier, Hastings and Central Hawke’s Bay Councils, the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council, and iwi leaders, met in Wairoa to discuss and progress regional projects.
Key discussions were around housing, transport, Regional Infrastructure Funding and Local Water Done Well.
Wairoa Mayor Craig Little said while each Council has its own unique needs, there is also strength in working together collaboratively and understanding each area's specific needs.
“We really appreciate the number of representatives who came to Wairoa for the Regional Collaboration Day and look forward to working with all our key partners to progress our region and all its components.”
