Reason for the Proposal

Under legislation Council must consult the community to review the Wairoa District Council Consolidated Bylaw Part 1 – Introductory. The proposed amendments include updating for currency and aligning the bylaw with the NZ Standard 9201 Model general bylaws - Introduction.

Council is considering whether it should adopt amendments to the Wairoa District Council Consolidated Bylaw Part 1 – Introduction. Council is therefore seeking feedback from its communities on whether they believe Council should adopt these proposed amendments to the bylaw.

• Where to get a copy of the submission form
  The submission form may be collected from the Council’s Main Office in Wairoa, or filled out online on the Council’s website.

• Period for Consultation
  Written submissions may be made until 4.30pm Friday 26 April 2019.

Those who make a written submission may choose to make an oral submission. Hearing of oral submissions are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday 14 May 2019 at 10am.
