Funding application timeframe extended

Wairoa Mayor Craig Little is thrilled with some of the potential that could be realised in the district as part of the Provincial Growth Fund.

“We are seeing and hearing about projects that could be the key to unlocking financial sustainability for all corners of Wairoa.”

Mr Little said there is a lot of background work going on around applications for the PGF.

“It is essential our applications meet the fund’s criteria.

“The timeframe around the package of PGF investment announcements has been extended which allows us a little more time to gather information for these applications.”

He stressed that any person, iwi group, or organisation with an idea that fits the PGF criteria is urged to contact the Council, or him directly.

“We can put you in touch with the right people to ensure your application has the detail needed to fit the criteria and process.”
