Wastewater Consenting Update

Invitation to the Wairoa community

Update on the consenting progress for managing Wairoa’s wastewater discharge for the next 30 years.

On behalf of the Wairoa District Council you are invited to a:

  • Hui-a-Hapu
Sunday 28th July at 10 am
Whaakirangi Marae, Frasertown Road, Wairoa; and/or
  • Public meeting
Monday 29th July at 5.30 pm
War Memorial Hall, 97-103 Queen Street, Wairoa

This is an informal update on Council’s intentions and progress on seeking resource consents for the future wastewater system for Wairoa. In November 2018 Council lodged applications for consents based on community consultation feedback obtained during 2017. HBRC will soon be publicly notifying these consent applications for public submissions. This meeting will provide an overview of the consents details and consenting process.
