Wairoa is gearing up for Waitangi Day 2020 celebrations next month, with a market stall day for family and friends.
This year's event will be held on 6 February from 10am to 1pm at Alexandra Park (on the grass area between the Wairoa Ski Club and the Wairoa Rowing Club).
Organisers are now calling on locals who would like to set up a stall to make inquiries early.
If you would like to set up a stall you can contact Esta Wainohu on 06 838 3086.
This year's celebrations will focus on the history and significance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (The Treaty of Waitangi). There will also be a waka ama showcase, food and local product stalls and music playing throughout the day.
This event was made possible thanks to the support of Manatu Taonga (Ministry for Culture and Heritage), Sport Hawke's Bay, The Wairoa Community Centre and Wairoa District Council.
