Rubbish collection service back to usual from May 25

Rubbish 1

Transitioning to Alert Level 2 means rubbish collection services will return to normal from the week starting MONDAY 25 MAY 2020.

This means that the free rubbish collection service – including the use of any unofficial household rubbish bags – will no longer apply from that date.

For kerbside rubbish collection services to occur at your place, you will need to purchase official refuse bags for collections from 25 MAY.

You can purchase the official bags from the following outlets in Wairoa:

• Wairoa District Council
• New World Supermarket
• Mahia Avenue Dairy
• McLean Street Dairy
• Riverview Dairy

Mahia:
• Mahia Beach Store
• Mahia Service Station (Opoutama)

For more information about refuse and recycling collection services, please visit https://www.wairoadc.govt.nz/services/rubbish-and-recycling/

Recycling and refuse services will continue as usual.
