Shopping locally was a double win for Maureen Kerley, the most recent winner of the Wairoa District Council Tautoko Wairoa Buy Local Campaign.
The lucky winner’s name was drawn by Wairoa District Council chief executive Steven May, pictured.
The promotion is to encourage people to shop and buy locally.
Every time you spend $30 or more at any participating local businesses your name goes into the draw to win a $100 shop credit.
Draws are held every week and there is no limit on the number of times you can enter.
So far winners have purchased and won from Hammer Hardware, Local Living, Tyre General, The Wairoa Star and Chards.
The post-pandemic retail booster runs until the end of August.
