Wairoa District has been chosen to be one of four pilot communities in New Zealand to trial a new way of allocating resources into services, projects and initiatives that will support whanau empowerment and development at a local level.
This model is intended to move decision-making closer to the community and whanau rather than having decisions made elsewhere about our community.
Wairoa community members are encouraged to voice their thoughts and opinions about what they think could be commissioned here in Wairoa, and how this should be delivered and managed.
All Wairoa whanau and community members are welcome and encouraged to attend the meeting, which will be held on:
Tuesday 4 August 2020, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at the War Memorial Hall, Queen Street.
Kai/food will be provided.
