Thank you to all those people who have taken part in Council’s survey of residents and ratepayers.

Nearly 100 people have completed the online survey which is a great start says Wairoa District Council Chief Executive Kitea Tipuna.

“We need open and honest feedback as what people think plays a critical role in Council being able to deliver the best possible facilities and services for our community.

“Hearing from our community is the best way we can measure what we are doing well and where people would like us to make change or improve.”

Mr Tipuna said historically Council surveys have been by telephone. “This year we have changed our approach by using an online survey in the hope of gathering even more feedback around how our residents and ratepayers feel about our performance and the way we deliver our many services and activities. To have such a high response in a short timeframe demonstrates our community likes this new approach and we are grateful to everyone who has completed the survey so far.

“We encourage even more people to tell us what you really think. The survey is designed to take 5-10 minutes to complete and is open to everyone, other than elected or staff members of the Wairoa District Council and their household members.”
