A massive work effort has seen the Ohuka Road reopened to heavy vehicles.
The road was closed to heavy vehicles at the 18.9km route position, while dropout work took place. The road remained open to light vehicles.
The closure was due to an undermining of the bank, which meant repair work had to stop while contractors worked to further widen the bank on the opposite side of the road.
Wairoa District Council is appreciative of the effort by QRS contracting staff to get the necessary work completed, meaning the road was only closed for a day. Thank you again to heavy vehicle road users and affected residents for their patience while this situation was remedied.
