We are very mindful that we still have people in our rural communities who are isolated by road. We would like to reassure you that access to these closed-off and isolated parts of our community is a priority.
We recognise that it must be frustrating for people who are isolated by roads, and our key message is that we have not forgotten you, and are trying as hard as we can to provide access.
We are continuing to assess, and where possible coordinate repairs of key infrastructure, such as roads and bridges, however continued rainfall events are hampering this.
If you have a welfare need, such as food or other provisions or supplies, please email eocwelfare@wairoadc.govt.nz or phone the council offices on 06 838 7309.
If you have information or need information about your situation, roading or any other infrastructure, please email eocoperations@wairoadc.govt.nz.
