The character of New Zealand will be captured with this year’s Wairoa Kiwiana Christmas.
On Saturday, December 14, the town centre will be transformed into a slice of Kiwi Heaven with a Christmas market followed by the Christmas parade.
The Christmas market will begin at 9am and celebrate our local culture with face painting, kai and handcrafted gifts.
Then, at noon, the float parade will make its way along the Marine Parade – with a special visit from Santa himself.
Wairoa Mayor Craig Little hopes that as many people as possible will join the fun event and spread some festive cheer.
“We all know Wairoa has had a tough couple of years, but this is a chance to celebrate our district with a fun event, which is especially important for our younger generation.”
