Community HallsNgā Hōro Hapori

There are five Community Halls throughout the district, that can be booked for functions.

The medium term focus for the Wairoa District Council is to continue to support community groups and others through funding and/or other assistance to provide a range of community services and facilities, which would otherwise impose direct responsibilities, back on Council.

The Community Support Outcome is to provide a coordinated approach to the provision of recreation, health, safety, education and other community services. In order to achieve the strategic intent and desired outcomes Council will enter into partnerships with Halls Committees to ensure the community meeting places are provided in strategic locations.
