It is the beginning of winter, so we like the smell of the warming speculaas spices!
Join in a 3 hour, hands-on workshop as you discover a traditional baking delicacy consumed widely in the Netherlands during the festive winter months.
We will make 3 typical dutch winter treats; A Spice Loaf , Filled Speculaas and Apple Beignets
Filled Speculaas is an almond filled tart with traditional spice mixture using cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger and a little white pepper.
A Spice, Ginger or Pepper Loaf, or Kruidkoek, is a soft gingerbread cake, also called Breakfast Cake
Plus delicious apple ring coated in a batter, a common News Years Eve treat
Start from scratch and bake the tart, along with some Speculaas biscuits, before enjoying a shared morning tea. Take home the baked goodies as well as recipes so you can do it all again at home.
Ticket price includes hands-on workshop and afternoon tea.
