Applications for financial assistance of the SPORT NZ Rural Travel Fund are now being called for. A total of approximately $10,200.00 is available for distribution to rural sports clubs and rural school teams with young people aged between 5-19 years who require subsidies to assist with transport expenses to local sporting competitions.
Applicants should be a school club team participating in local sport competition in weekends and/or sport club team participating in organised sport competition through club membership.
Applicants are required to contribute 40% as a minimum to the total cost of the project.
Applicants must provide proof of possession of their contribution, the last year's Statement of Accounts and a register of current office holders.
