Neal Palmer - Transition

Join us in the opening of Neal Palmers exhibition ‘Transition’
The painting ‘Transition’ stands as the foundation of Neal Palmer’s exhibition and was created in conjunction with a series in response to his residency at Auckland Botanic Gardens, set on capturing the light filtering through a Horoeka tree.

Neal is interested in how his work can communicate the feeling of being fully immersed in the New Zealand native bush, enhancing a relationship between the audience, or viewer, and the painting’s subject matter.

This exhibition is about walking in Montane forests, experiencing the light pouring through the canopy’s complex forms of leaves and branches, intended to inspire a connection and love of our natural environment.
‘Transition’ invites you to immerse yourself in the light-dappled beauty of New Zealand’s native Montane forests, fostering a deep connection with nature, featuring Annette Bull’s ‘Treeline’ ceramic collection.

The opening runs from 5 - 7 pm on August 9th.
